Write/Film a modernised “Transmedia” story in which Charles Dickens, George Eliot (Mary Anne Evans), William and Dorothy Wordsworth meet at a dinner party to confront the question: “How can we help to make the lives of the generation who are now between 17 and 25 more rich and meaningful?”

Group: Nikola-Maria Anastassiades, Nancy Sammak, Jude Salonga

Our unique Transmedia story is based on the ‘morning after’. Charles Dickens, George Eliot and Dorothy Wordsworth all converse in a well natured manner over a dinner gathering.

As a result Charles was so intrigued in their thoughtful conversations that he ‘friended’ both ladies on Facebook and created a Facebook Group for the three of them the very next day. This was to facilitate a discussion on some of the questions they raised over the course of the night before.

Our group has taken our own skill to the shape of Transmedia and moulded it into a combination of the social networking site Facebook and blog site WordPress. Facebook is used much like social media between our writers as a means of communication and WordPress is used to present the discussion to a wider audience. The use of a social network as communication proves incredibly useful as it is a continuous stream of discussion as opposed to an almost freeze frame blog post.
